I've always loved nature and animals, but 2020 is the year I leaned really hard into bird watching as an activity all to its own. I have also got very involved in learning about shorebirds. This listing is for a vinyl sticker featuring my very favorite shorebird, a resident of the Jersey shore in the summer months: the American Oystercatcher.
I affectionately call them "the Squeaky Toys of the Sky" because these birds are so goofy when they fly! You can hear their squeaky call for blocks before they fly by. They have really cool, colorful bills- such a unique bird that I am always delighted to see. Check the last photo for a photo I took of an oystercatcher that lives at Barnegat Light, NJ!
